4 Words To Help You When Trials Come (James)

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” James 1:2 NIV

This summer has been one I will never forget. It was full of loss and grief and family and memories. I haven’t been able to find words or even have the gumption to sit down and string together any cohesive thoughts. But, they are coming. God is weaving and knitting truth in the dusty places of my heart.

I wonder if you have ever been in such a hard place that words are hard to find.  Tears and hurt and sadness and loss exist. But this space is beautiful. It is in this space where God’s glory is vibrantly seen. It is a space where He comforts consistently. Where He loves tenderly. That He holds compassionately. And where He speaks truth into deep places.

Here are a few things that He has taught me today from James 1. My fingers are slow is clicking out the words but my mouth continues to run free. I pray it meets you where you are.
