As a do-it-yourselfer, I am inspired by “The Fixer Upper” – the creatively endearing show out of Waco, TX with Chip and Joanna Gaines. I admire their vision and hope that I too can create the same jaw-dropping impact in my home by simply nailing up some shiplap and painting walls a calming light gray.
There’s nothing like a good renovation- something that involves a dramatic before and after:
from old to new
broken to whole
unwanted to prized
useless to useful again
It’s in the transformation where oohs and aahs give the glimmering hope that nothing is beyond a good make-over.
I share on my blog a few budget-friendly DIY projects– ones that can renovate, transform, and repurpose your own little sliver of the world.
But, there is so much more to renovation than DIY-ing. I have experienced the most dramatic and life-changing transformation that is beyond my own capacity as a do-it-yourself. It has happened in my life because of Jesus and what He’s done for me.
I am being renovated, transformed, and repurposed from the inside out. I am not who I used to be. I was once:
condemned but now redeemed
insecure and screaming for validation but now secure and confident
hidden and held captive but now exposed and set free
ugly but now beautiful.
Jesus is still changing my life. And, He can change your’s too.
So here on my blog, I share how God has renovated my life and how you too can have a life-changing transformation.
He has so much more for you!
